My Story

I'm Kevin Wilkinson and that's a pile of garlic. I am super proud of that garlic which I grew and photographed myself, aren't I clever.

I also grew and photographed the tomato and pea pod (is it pea pod or peapod?) you might see dotted around. I'm also very proud of those items.

I am also obsessed by why other peoples' food tastes so great. I spent years in the catering and education industry and it still gets me - why is that food so good, but I think I am more interested in the story behind it.

I always enjoyed reading recipe books like stories, maybe more than the actual cooking and could listen for hours to family talking about recipes usually as I was trying to design a weekly menu.

For that reason, I (although sometimes I dive into the 'we' for some reason, perhaps for grandeur, have decided to celebrate the best which will be contentious as we all make the best spag bol and all know what the best breakfast looks like - but the story behind it will make the difference between a good recipe and a GREAT recipe!

I promise you one thing, if we (there we go) at RubyKitchen LOVE it, it will be THE version of that recipe (and your story) on our site.
