American pancakes
Credit and permission to share: Kevin. The closest I came to an American pancake growing up, was a ‘drop scone’ slathered in margarine, made by my Gran. This style of pancake is the childrens’ favourite when we stay in a hotel but sometimes, you just need to make them from scratch. You will need: 135g plain flour 1 tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt 2 tbsp caster sugar 130ml milk 1 large egg 2 tbsp melted butter and more for cooking Sift the dry ingredients into a large bowl.
